The agent for two-time NBA all-star swingman Jaylen Brown said Tuesday that he and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax deal extension.

Spotrac, a website that keeps track of salaries, says that the deal is the biggest in NBA history. It beats the $276 million contract that Denver's Nicola Joki signed in 2022.

Brown, a guard/forward, had his best season ever last year. He scored 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, which was a career high.

The 26-year-old was put on the All-NBA second team for 2022–23. Brown, who was picked third overall in 2016, was able to get the new deal because he made the All-NBA team.

Brown has been with the Boston Celtics for seven years and has helped them get to five Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals in 2022.

ESPN said that the new deal will run from the 2024-2025 season until the 2028-2029 season, when Brown will be 32 years old.

Brown's deal is worth more than Nikola Jokic's extension with the Denver Nuggets, which was worth $276 million.

This is because the salary cap and league income have gone up. Brown, who is 26 years old, had a health exam on Monday in Boston to seal the deal.
