Jamie Lee Curtis is talking about where the idea for the graphic book she is working on came from.

"I wanted to know what would happen when Mother Nature fought back," Curtis told People magazine. "It turns out that I have a very dark imagination."

She said that her first idea for the book about the environment was "very father knows best."

Curtis had the idea when she was 19, but she didn't do anything with it for a long time.

She didn't talk about her idea until many years later, when she bought a Karl Stevens drawing as a gift for her husband, the director Christopher Guest.

"Karl said, 'That's a graphic novel,'" she remembered the artist telling her during a chat. "And the violence that humans have done to the universe would be described as 'graphic.'"

She went on, "There's a lot of violence. And, by the way, I did all the pictures in the book. It turns out that I have a very dark mind, with a capital V and a capital D."
